私の事について。。。 About Me (日本語 Version)

Can you read in Japanese? Well, I just hope you can 'cause after this "intro" statement, everything will be in Kanji and Kana characters. Don't you dare attempt to read this if you're not that proficient in Japanese, eh. You might get a nosebleed! Haha!

The language transition starts here...

The Latest from Zenni Optical

Ladies and fellas! The infamous online store that sells chic prescription eyeglasses from an affordable amount of $8 has got more to offer only just for you!

Zenni Optical, known for its huge collection of frames, with single vision lens, sunsensor lens, tinted sunglasses lens, bifocal lens and progressive lens, is now selling a new set of frames that will surely benefit the “optically challenged” and the “fashion-inclined” individuals in town. Below are some of their models that I personally love and want to purchase one of these days.

Do you love it, too? Well, if you do, then why not grab one for your own good and satisfaction? It is reasonably priced yet, you still got a high quality eye gear! Now, that’s a great offer!

Because of its affordability and quality, Zenni Optical has been positively acclaimed by Fox News TV, and just recently, by the renowned U.S. talk radio host of the nationally syndicated consumer advocate program The Clark Howard Show. Zenni Optical’s secret to low prices is that they sell only their own manufactured frames direct to the customer. It just means no middlemen and virtually no advertising budget included in the scheme.

Palin for Vice-President, Obama for President!!!

Well, it seems like McCain has already chosen his running mate. Palin, a woman politician shall become the opponent of Biden in the upcoming U.S. Vice-Presidential Elections.

Hmmm...even though I like Obama very much, I think I'll be better off with Palin than Biden. I think the United States' politics should open up now and give opportunities to women leaders. Let's support Palin! And Obama, too!

Oh my God! How I missed creating posts here on my blog. I'm so glad that I did get enough time to do some updates right now. It seems like really ought to do this or else, VJ Czar World's Alexa rank and income generation capability will dramatically fall down.

Well, let's just get down to business. Here's my latest post! It's a survey I've answered on dNeero.com. It's kind of cool that I can put my answers here. Why don't you try it yourself?

VJ Czar World Announcement: Some Features Will Be Temporarily Suspended

I hate to do this but, I guess this seems to be the right way...

Starting today up to an uncertain time, I won't be making any usual updates on some (actually half) of the features of VJ Czar World. These features are the following:
  • Natural Wonder of the Week
  • Organism of the Week
  • YouTube Videos of the Week
  • Did You Know?
*Sigh*... Projects, assignments and appointments have been so many lately, and I don't think it's going to end sooner or later. Indeed, being a third year college student deprives you to do things you really like and love. I've got no choice but to change my long-established routine into something that focuses more on my studies. Duh, what a step to take to have a much "brighter future".

BTW, I might update those features if ever I have free time. Yet, having free time is way too impossible this time. Hehe.

Alicia Keys: Tell You Something (Nana's Reprise)

June 15, 2008-June 21, 2008

Genre: R&B, Soul

Mood: Enlightened, determined, confident to do long desired things

May be dedicated to: To you and to someone who doesn’t know you have love for him/her

“Tell You Something (Nana’s Reprise)” is a song performed by Alicia Keys. It is the thirteenth track of her certified 3x platinum third studio album “As I Am”.

Written and composed by Kerry Brothers, Jr. (co-composer of Keys’ smash hits “No One” and “Diary”), Noel Stevenson, Paul Green, Steve Mostyn, Ron Haney and Alicia Keys herself, the song is all about seizing the moment to express love to somebody.

Rumor has it that it maybe released as a single in the near future. However, there is a great possibility that it may not because of the existence of much more potential tracks such as “Superwoman”.

Get so caught up everyday

Tryna keep it all together

While the time, it slips away

See, I know nothing last forever

Imagine there was no tomorrow

Imagine that I couldn't see your face

There’d be no limit to my sorrow

So all I can say

I wanna tell you something, give you something, show you in so many ways

'Cause it would all mean nothing if I don't say something before it all goes away

Don't wanna wait to bring you flowers, waste another hour, let alone another day

I'm gonna tell you something, show you something, won't wait ‘til it's too late

I can't wait, I can't wait, I won't wait, I don't wanna wait

I can't wait, I can't wait, I won't wait, I don't wanna wait

Just a simple conversation

Just a moment is all it takes

I wanna be there just to listen (I wanna be here)

And I don't wanna hesitate

Imagine there was no tomorrow

Imagine that I couldn't see your face

There’d be no limit to my sorrow

'Cause there is nothing that could fill that space

I wanted to put it off for too long

I didn't say all that I had to say

I wanna take the time and right the wrong

Before we get to that place

I wanna tell you something, give you something, show you in so many ways

'Cause it would all mean nothing if I don't say something before it all goes away

Don't wanna wait to bring you flowers, waste another hour, let alone another day

I'm gonna tell you something, show you something, won't wait ‘til it's too late

Just lean on my shoulder

It's not over ‘til it's over

Don't worry ‘bout it cause I'm gonna

Make sure I’m a get stronger, yeah

I don't wanna wait until the storm and something’s wrong, and now you're gone

And I can't find you

I wanna tell you something, give you something, show you in so many ways

'Cause it would all mean nothing if I don't say something before it all goes away

Don't wanna wait to bring you flowers, waste another hour, let alone another day

I'm gonna tell you something, show you something, won't wait ‘til it's too late

I wanna tell you something, give you something, show you in so many ways

'Cause it would all mean nothing if I don't say something before it all goes away

Don't wanna wait to bring you flowers, waste another hour, let alone another day

I'm gonna tell you something, show you something, won't wait ‘til it's too late

I can't wait, I can't wait, I won't wait, I don't wanna wait

I can't wait, I can't wait, I won't wait, I don't wanna wait

Organs in the Human Body: The Heaviest, The Smallest, The Most Complex

June 8, 2008-June 14, 2008

The liver is the heaviest organ in the human body. Its average weight is between 1.4 to 1.6 kilograms or 3.1 to 3.5 pounds. It is also the largest internal organ and the largest gland in the human body.

The smallest organ in the human body is believed to be the pineal gland. It is an endocrine gland found within the brain. Its normal size is comparable to the size of a pea (about 8 millimeters only) The pineal gland is also known as epiphysis cerebri, epiphysis or pineal body.

The most complex organ in the human body is obviously, the brain. The brain is the control system of the central nervous system (CNS) which is responsible for behavior. It produces our every thought, action, feeling, memory and experience of the world. Approximately one hundred billion nerve cells or neurons with complex patterns of connectivity compose the brain.

Charice Pempengco's International Stardom

June 8, 2008-June 14, 2008

This week’s “YouTube Videos of the Week” has something to do with my kababayan named Charice Pempengco. Do you have any idea about this girl? If you don’t, it’s a pretty shame on you. How come you don’t? She’s one of the hottest icons to date on YouTube.com, you know. You’ll be missing one-third of your life without knowing her. I guess you better read her simple biography I’ve provided below. The world has just done it. :)

Charice Pempengco, popularly known by her stage name Charice, is a 16-year old Filipina singer who rose to fame through her jaw-dropping performances posted on YouTube. She was born in Cabuyao, in the province of Laguna, Philippines.

At age four, Charice was noticed by her parents to have a powerful voice. Shortly thereafter, she underwent voice lessons. Charice’ singing career began when she reached the age of seven. At her young age, she was already exposed to several local singing contests and later, to competitions airing on national TV such as the defunct Birit Bulilit (IBC), Batang Kampeon (RPN), Bulilit Popstar (GMA) and Junior Star Quest (ABS-CBN). Little Big Star (ABS-CBN), the last contest she joined in only awarded her third place

Charice decided to take a break in music after the dissatisfying result of her last performance. However, a surprising moment came to her when some stranger posted her videos and YouTube and caught the attention of the Swedish record company Ten Songs Production. Last June 2007, she flew to Stockholm to record seven songs to be released digitally.

Since then, Charice’ international popularity skyrocketed. She was then invited by some world’s most famous talk shows and concerts including The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Oprah and David Foster and Friends.

Currently, she’s into negotiations with leading music industry executive Clive Davis for a record deal and contract. Davis was responsible for the success of Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson.

If you haven’t seen any of the awesome performances of Charice Pempengco, I’ve embedded my top 3 favorites exclusively for you.

Video #1: This video is a footage of Charice’ first performance on Star King, a famous talent show airing in South Korea, last October 2007. This was her very first international exposure and the one that paved the way to several appearances and offers. Here, Charice performed Jennifer Holliday’s "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going".

Video #2: This next video was taken from the December 19, 2007 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Here, Charice showcased her talent in singing "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" and Whitney Houston’s "I Will Always Love You". She earned her first standing ovation from the American audience after her performance.

Note: The interview before her performance was a bit funny. But hey, that’s not the talent she’s supposed to show. Never mind that!

Video #3: This last video was taken from Oprah’s May 12, 2008 episode entitled “World’s Smartest Kids”. Here, Charice performed Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing”. Just like what happened on Ellen, she received a standing ovation from the audience as well as from Oprah Winfrey herself.

Moringa (Malunggay)

June 8, 2008-June 14, 2008

Scientifically known as Moringa oleifera, malunggay is a commonly cultivated vegetable tree with a number of medical, nutritional and economic uses. It grows chiefly in semiarid and tropical regions such as Africa, Sri Lanka, Middle East, South and Central America, Mexico, the Philippines, India and the foothills of the Himalayas. It can also grow in coastal areas wherein soil is of poor quality. Additionally, it is a fast-growing and drought-resistant tree.

Moringa is highly regarded in some parts of the world as a very useful plant. Almost all of its parts have certain beneficial properties. The leaves of moringa, is commonly used in cooking or as food for livestock. According to the Bureau of Plant Industry of the Philippine government, weight per weight, moringa's leaves have calcium equivalent to four glasses of milk, vitamin C equaling seven oranges, potassium of three bananas, thrice the iron of spinach, four times the vitamin A in carrots and twice the protein in milk. On the other hand, its immature green pods (also called “drumsticks”), seeds and flowers are also cooked and consumed. The roots are then used as a condiment yet, it is being discouraged by nutritionists for it contains spirochin, a potentially fatal alkaloid that paralyzes the nerves.

Aside from culinary purposes, moringa is also well-recognized medically. In India, its leaves are used in Siddha medicine. It is believed to have a capacity in treating erectile dysfunction in men and prolonging sexual activity in women. It is then used to cure open wounds. Other parts of moringa such as its bark, sap, roots, seeds, oil and flowers are also used in traditional medicine for treating rheumatism, venomous bites and other sorts of conditions.

Commercially, moringa is a raw material for producing the so-called ben oil. This oil can be used in cooking, cosmetics and lubrication. Various parts of moringa are also used as a fertilizer or flocculent for water purification or desalination of ocean saltwater. It is then recently discovered that moringa can become an alternative fuel source for it can be produced as a bio-fuel.

The propagation of moringa is encouraged by a number of countries to solve the problems of malnutrition and food scarcity.

I got no education, got no communication

Don't need no one to waste my time (uh)

Don't need no face to tell me, don't need no one to sell me

Won't be convicted for your crime, alright

Everybody has to be somebody they don't wanna be

But I (I) wanna be (wanna be)

I wanna be free

'Cause I'm a little bit of love

A little bit of hate

A little bit of me that you can't break

You know that I will be forever rebel

'Cause I'm a little bit of soul

A little bit of lust

A little piece of me that you can't trust

Baby, I will be forever rebel

Yo, it's like one, two, three and to the four

Everybody's here, got the cops knocking at my door

Somebody call 911

I'm on probation but the party's just begun

I got no obligation to fix my situation

Don't need no one to pick me up (bring it down, baby)

I want the satisfaction that comes from your reaction

I wanna feel it in my blood, oh yeah, yeah

Everybody has to be somebody they don't wanna be

But I, wanna be

I wanna be free

'Cause I'm a little bit of love

A little bit of hate

A little bit of me that you can't break, baby

I will be forever rebel

'Cause I'm a little wound up

A little freaked out

I need a little time to scream 'n' shout, baby

I will be forever rebel

I will be forever rebel

A little wound up, a little freaked out

I will be forever rebel

The reticulated python (Python reticulatus) is the world’s longest snake. It is a non-venomous python species native to Southeast Asian nations such as Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. It can grow up to about 30 feet (9.1 meters) in length. The longest reticulated python ever recorded reaches a maximum length of 32 feet and 9 inches, somewhat longer than the largest anaconda.

The most venomous snake in the world is the inland taipan or the fierce snake (Oxyuranus microlepidotus). Its venom is 50 times more toxic than that of the Indian cobra and 650 to 850 times more toxic than that of the western or eastern diamondback. It can kill as many as 250,000 mice or 100 human adults in just about 45 minutes. Though known as the most venomous snake, the inland taipan’s bites may somehow be treated with antivenin.

The thread snake (Leptotyphlops bilineatus) is known as the smallest snake in the world. It is a blind non-toxic snake species found in the Lesser Antilles, particularly in Martinique, Barbados and Saint Lucia. Its average length is only 11 centimeters or 4.5 inches. As small as it is, it can be slithered through a pencil if the lead is removed.

When News Anchors Freak Out and Couldn’t Stop Laughing Pt. 2

June 1, 2008-June 7, 2008

I have been so hooked up with watching news-anchors-couldn’t-stop-laughing videos on YouTube lately. In fact, I’ve created a post about it under the feature “YouTube Videos of the Week” last week.

But as I reviewed that post earlier today, I noticed that the news anchors featured were all men. Well, that’s quite unfair for all my ladies out there, eh.

Because of that, I decided to have a part two of that post. But now, it’ll be featuring no one but female news anchors. Here it is!

Video #1: Here’s a video clip of The Daily Buzz news anchor Andrea Campbell laughing while Ron Corning reports about the Iraqi freedom. The reason why she laughed was unknown but I have a guess that it’s George W. Bush’ face (take a look at the TV screen beside Ron).

Video #2: This next video features the funny moments of a female weather forecaster of RTL Wetter, a weather report program airing in Germany. Her funny moments began when she started to laugh uncontrollably upon seeing the footage of his co-reporter rather than the weather map.

I wonder why she laughed that hard. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with her co-reporter’s face, excepting the fact that he’s like Prince Charles. :)

Video #3: Save the funniest for last! This last video is about a news anchor who “lost her mind” when she saw the reenactment of her report. Her report was about a man who was attacked by a huge python in South Africa.

This one’s really funny! I swear.
